As an award-winning indie content creator, she’s passionate about connecting audiences with content that makes a positive impact. She’s now on a mission to drive digital innovation and serve as a cross-functional change agent across the organization and the communities it serves/supports.
Why I care?
As we’ve seen now and more than ever, #MentalHealthMatters. More conversations are being had as awareness has begun to shift to the mainstream and yet the stigma and shame surrounding it still exist. Because I’ve worked hard personally and professionally throughout my life to overcome childhood struggles and acceptance based on my sexual orientation, my gender and my race. I’ve been able to heal old wounds, turn tides and persevere by moving through the world as my awesome, authentic self and I want that for everyone.
Why Shift Now?
Eleanor Roosevelt said that “the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” With The Shift, we dream of our ability to meet this moment where the conversation around mental health has become more mainstream to help empower a movement to inform, connect and inspire people while decreasing the stigma and shame that prevents people from seeking out the help that they need.
